I just started a new project that I'm excited about (except for the clipping I now have to do).

Went through a ton of my old bookmarks for recs and like 95% of them have been taken down which makes me super sad. Hope that doesn't happen to my favorite Tim Drake one (cw: some blood). I don't know how the vidder achieved the movement effects since these are comic panels but it's amazing.

Random question: Do people have recommendations on how to make downloads available? Someone asked me for one which I take as a high compliment but I don't know how to do except possibly get a Vimeo Plus account. If anyone has one, is it worth it?

I don't presently have a great overall solution for making downloads broadly available... My vids are on critical commons, and if you have an advanced user account there you can download, but that mostly means other vidders can download them, not general users.

absolutedestiny wrote up a post on a different kind of hosting, but I haven't tried to figure it out.

But the simplest, cheapest way to make a download available for a single person who asks for a download is to upload to Dropbox or Google docs and just send them the download link. That's what I've been doing lately if someone asks for a download.

Oh, that was well done. I think they probably used key framing to move, or zoom in/out, the images. There's an apple software called Motion that will do that - I've played with it, but haven't spent enough time using it. I think you can create the effect directly in FCP, too. I don't know about iMovie.
