Hello vidders!!
Welcome to the monthly(-ish) chatter post. Feel free to talk about any vidding topic at all, it doesn't need to be related to your bingo card - although it can be!
Recently a lot of my DW and twitter feed have been discussing the Plotters vs. Pantsers approach to writing and it made me think about how I approach vidding. Sometimes I plan things out and sometimes I fly by the seat of my pants.
There are some discussion and examples of storyboards on this LJ post (from 2010... wow) Workshop: I Make Images Move With The Music
Are you a vidding plotter or a pantser?
If you use storyboards, how do you approach them? Are they vague or detailed, handwritten or a google doc?

Date: 2019-06-17 08:11 pm (UTC)Oh yeah, and I have a Google Sheet of all MCU movies, with each scene, a scene description and who's in it. I'm now wondering if I should start a new sheet for the new phase, considering this sheet currently has... 644 lines, and that's just to Ant-Man & the Wasp (I still need to Captain Marvel and Endgame). If anyone would like to have read access let me know, although my definition of scenes changes according to how tired I am when I'm clipping the movie. It's been really helpful, especially for the vid I'm working on. It's a Cap vid and I'm not as familiar with Cap scenes as I am with, say, Iron Man scenes. So sometimes I just go through the scene descriptions to try and find what I want.
I love spreadsheets.
