Hello vidders!!

One of the biggest vidding events of the year - festivids - just had assignments go out and the smell of vids is in the air!
From the tagset of fandoms, what sort of vids are you hoping to see this round?
Any predictions of what the unexpected star of the show or "fandom darling" will be? (ie. last year I believe it was Moby Dick!)


How is your other vidding coming along? Are you still working on a card?

I suspect Scavengers Reign will have more than a couple vids. The source is visually interesting and very weird.
That said, festivids fandoms often come from left field and something totally unexpected winds up with a lot of creative vids. I can't wait to see what shape that takes this year!

I'm in the midst of my last square for "anti-hero" and am vidding it to Andor. It's something I reconceptualized from the Same Song challenge and I'm going to slide it into my bingo card instead. Mostly because one of the things I changed was the song... heh.

Maybe Blue Eye Samurai. I think that had some striking art. Based on my tumblr dash, I'd predict Interview with the Vampire vids. Looking forward to what everyone makes and hoping my vid creativity returns from the war at some point! (Going to need to go find those Moby Dick vids now.)

Blue Eye Samurai is in my Netflix queue (who knows if/when I ever get around to it) and I agree that Interview with the Vampire seems popular.

Definitely agree on Scavengers Reign -- I Saw the TV Glow and Gamechanger also have a ton of requests and a ton of offers. I was surprised Kaos didn't have more requests and offers, given that it was a really visually interesting source, but maybe it came out too close to nominations so people haven't seen it yet?

...I realised I could swap around some of the vids that fit multiple squares on my card, and it turns out I've got at least one bingo, plus another if I include Vidder's Choice? I would still very much like to try and complete the full card, but I don't know if multifandom is on the table anytime soon!

I'm not familiar with either of those shows, but they do seem popular. I will need to check them out :)

I was unfamiliar with most of the things nominated honestly. My sign up had almost no matches. So I have NO idea. From the sign up summary, maybe old b/w movies? Which were surprisingly popular. Dungeons and Dragons again? Lots of interest again.

Sadly IWTV wasn’t eligible. Too big!

I can’t seem to get motivated by my bingo card. Which I should have known because I’ve signed up for a million bingos and I barely ever do anything for them. I tend to just go where the spirit moves me instead.

I'm excited about my assignment and I have a couple potential treat ideas!

I have no idea what will end up being the favorite - maybe I Saw the TV Glow or Professor Marston and the Wonder Women, since they both have a bunch of requests and offers.

I'm still poking at my card, but so far my vidding hasn't aligned with the non-Vidder's Choice squares I have (80's Music and Humor).

The favorite will probably be something wildly unexpected, but it's fun to try guessing!

The interpretation of the prompt is completely wide open, if that helps any. Although 80's music is hard to get 'interpretive' with I suppose.
