Hello everyone!

As part of 3weeks4dreamwidth and the celebrations around Dreamwidth's anniversary, I thought I'd ask everyone here about Dreamwidth and vidding and how those two intersect.

So... chicken or egg? Did you find Dreamwidth through the vidding community or the vidding community through Dreamwidth? Or something else?

I discovered vidding while engaged with LJ fannish communities and found DW from there. I've had a tumblr for ages, but don't connect as much with that platform.
Other connections I've made through vidding include in-person & virtual cons and Discord. But I started with LJ/DW.

I like the connections I've made on Discord and tumblr, but I really appreciate that DW is (in comparison to tumblr and especially Discord) not quite as fast paced.

iirc, I discovered vidding via LJ. By the time I actually started making them myself (early 2016), I was here (although I was mostly posting about them on tumblr and AO3 at first).

I imagine a lot of the vidding folks on DW came here via LJ.
