Hello vidders!!
Welcome to the monthly(-ish) chatter post. Feel free to talk about any vidding topic at all, it doesn't need to be related to your bingo card - although it can be!

2020 seems to have been prolific for some vidders while being sparse for others. Regardless of which way that went for you, what is the favorite vid of yours that you've made in the past year (or two)? Why is it your favorite?

Reminder that Round 2 is open and there's full amnesty for Round 1 at any time.

I think my favorite vid from 2020 is Maybe. I have a complicated feelings about SPN, but I love the characters this vid focuses on and I'm really happy with how it turned out (and that I finally finished it - I'd been working on it since 2018).

That vid makes me realize just how much SPN I've missed.
It's a fantastic showcase of some of the ladies! And I can imagine how satisfying it feels to finish a vid that's been rolling around in your brain for that long - congrats!!

I tallied it up this weekend and I have done my whole bingo card. All but one of the squares were checked by vexercises last summer- I didn't vid any '90s music in vexercises, but "Speeding Rover" was to a 90s song. The closest I came in Vexercises to a '90s song was actually my Rusalka vidlet, to a piece of music composed in the year 1900, just one year off the 1890s.

I've decided to not include some of the exchange vids I did (even though it's totally legit to do so), so I have 3 to go. Then I'm going to try for a 5x5 card in Round 2 because I'm insane.

My favourite of mine from the last year is probably Pain, which is a short dance vid. There is nothing to it, but I find it quite relaxing to watch? Almost meditative.

I have slowed down on vidding since we left lockdown here, but I think that's trying to make things that are too serious :p I have been working on a movie vid that is a lot less worthy, and that has gone more easily!

If I ran across that vid outside of AO3, I'd think it was an official music video for something. I can see how that rhythm can be meditative, too :)

I vidded a lot last year, might not do as much this year. I have two squares on my round 1 card I want to buckle down and finish, but I might get a new card in the meantime. :)

I was happy with everything I made last year, but I probably have the most emotional attachment to Without Fear. My longest vid ever, so far.

I want to buckle down and finish my card to (going for blackout), but am itching for a new card myself. LOL

That's a beautiful vid - makes me want to watch the show!
