Thanks, I will check that out! I usually rip things as .mp4 by default, but DVR allows a lot of options for input and output formats.

I don't think I would enjoy vidding without clipping either, the couple of times I've had to go back for footage that wasn't in my immediate pool were very annoying, and I find clipping makes it easier to earmark short scenes that I might forget about just scanning through a 2+ hour movie.
